Heath Ledger was an Australian actor. Ledger died on January 22, 2008, from an accidental intoxication from prescription drugs. A few months before his death, Ledger had finished filming his performance as the Joker in The Dark Knight.
This relatively small painting was done with acrylic paint layers on a coloured surface, perhaps depicting the complexity of his personality.
