Summer afternoon, I went down to the local lake hunting for subject matter. I came upon this little scene of a small barge against a pier next to a tree on the banks of Storkower lake. I was using oil pastels on heavily primed paper a lot in those days and sometimes still do. An impressionist stye l painting to make you yearn for the countryside and perhaps go boating  over the lake.
