Gandria is a small mountainside village on Lake Lugano. It is very picturesque, and I will do many more paintings of this village.

The painting process here is the traditional oil painting approach, using layers.

I'm from the north-east of Scotland, and after spending various stages of my life in some other countries, I seem to have settled here east of Berlin.
I exhibit my work locally, mostly in my own little gallery in the town center and at art fairs and other events, but I'm enjoying selling more and more of my artwork on online galleries, exposing my art to the world.
I am inspired by the beautiful landscapes of places I visit, including the country of my birth. And also inspired by the female form, or orderly female landscape, as I like to call it. But I will never be able to find myself in any particular genre; it's not what you paint, it's how you paint it.
