Schloss is the german word for a castle/mansion. A large country house bordering on a castle. In this painting is pictured the schloss which I was allowed to use for a while as my studio. It is surrounded by trees and hedges in a late afternoon light.. An impressionist style painting done in very thick palette- knife strokes and on a large scale. It is one of a series I did some years ago.
